CA ruling may jeopardize owner-operators

Using a brokerage may be the answer

In spring of 2018 the California supreme court made a final determination in a case that could cause many owner-operators in that state acting as contractors to be reclassified as employees.

The Western States Trucking Association is hoping to repeal the ruling citing a previously overturned similar ruling based on the FAA Act of 1994.
